Games of the Future 2026 is an international Dota 2 tournament that will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, from July 31 to August 5, 2026. The competition will bring together 16 of the world's strongest teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000. The tournament is part of the large-scale multi-sport event "Games of the Future 2026," which will be held in Astana from July 29 to August 9.
Dates and Venue
The Dota 2 tournament as part of "Games of the Future 2026" will take place from July 31 to August 5, 2026. All matches will be held in an offline format at the main arena – the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace in Astana.
Tournament Format
The organizers have prepared a balanced structure to identify the strongest team.
Group Stage
16 teams are divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each. The group stage follows a GSL system:

All group stage matches are played in a best-of-3 (two wins needed) format.

First place in each group advances directly to the playoff quarterfinals.

Second and third places enter the first round of the playoffs.

Fourth place is eliminated from the tournament.

The final part of the tournament features a single-elimination system:

The grand final will be played in a best-of-5 (three wins needed) format.
