Aurora have started a losing streak, results of the DreamLeague S28 day

The fifth day of the second group stage of DreamLeague Season 28 has ended. Today determined the fate of two teams at once: PARIVISION were eliminated from the tournament, and Team Liquid secured themselves a spot in the playoffs.

Results of the day:

• The showdown between BetBoom Team and Xtreme Gaming once again ended not in favor of BetBoom Team. The team lost the match largely by beating themselves. The squad regularly threw away its advantage at key moments, making positional and team mistakes that allowed the opponents to get back into the game. This scenario has been repeating for a while now — BetBoom Team are increasingly unable to close out even winning positions, effectively giving away their own maps.
• Team Falcons continue to show a serious drop in form after recent roster changes (ATF is missing the tournament due to a finger injury and an eye infection, and is being replaced by Vazya). The team looks disjointed both at the draft stage and over the course of the maps themselves, regularly giving up the initiative to their opponents. The lack of synergy and confidence in team decisions leads to prolonged mistakes in macro play. At the current stage of the tournament, the team has effectively lost its stability and looks like one of the most vulnerable participants in the stage.
• In the second match of the series between Team Liquid and PARIVISION, the key episode was Nisha's game on Ember Spirit. At a critical moment of the map, the player managed to make use of a 1vs5 situation, completely turning the tempo of the match around. This episode ruined PARIVISION's comeback attempt on the second map and essentially removed any doubt about the winner of the series. Thanks to this, Team Liquid confidently secured themselves a place in the next stage of the tournament without any additional complications.
• In the match between Aurora and MOUZ, the latter managed to keep their chance of reaching the playoffs alive, having been literally one step away from elimination. However, the further fate of the roster now depends solely on their own results — to advance to the next stage, MOUZ must win all their remaining matches without the right to make a mistake.

The second group stage of DreamLeague Season 28 runs from February 20 to 28. Based on its results, the four best teams will reach the playoffs, which will take place from February 28 to March 1. The tournament prize pool is 1 million dollars and EPT points, which are needed to receive direct invitations to other ESL tournaments, including Esports World Cup 2026.
