Aurora set a new record for consecutive wins — results from the first day of DreamLeague S28
The first day of the first group stage of DreamLeague Season 28 has come to an end. Only four matches were played.
Aurora set a new record for consecutive wins, winning their last 22 matches. Aurora defeated BetBoom Team 2-0. Both maps were played in complete dominance by Aurora. Mira gave a post-match comment:
'Hi everyone, guys. A week ago we beat the team BetBoom 2-0. This was the group stage of DreamLeague S28. We set some kind of new world record — 22 series in a row. It's very nice. I wouldn't call it some huge event, not personally for me, but it's just nice to know that we're in great form and everything is good. We'll try to keep this record. We'll try to win every series. So, cheer for us. By the way, an interesting fact: the previous record was also mine — 21 series with Team Spirit. That's how it is. Everyone, cheer for us, guys.'
Xtreme Gaming beat Team Spirit 2-0; across the two maps Team Spirit managed only 21 kills. Note that earlier the team lost Silent and Larl, and the mid role was taken by Mirele`. Team manager Korb3n reported that drafts are now handled by Yatoro, but in today's match the captain was Pantomem. The players are on a bootcamp; it’s possible that Yatoro sat at Pantomem's computer for the match.
PARIVISION looked great in their new lineup. Recall that DM left the team and they brought in TripleSSS to replace him. The newcomer finished the match with a combined KDA of 24.
Tundra Esports and MOUZ split their series. Bzm performed very poorly on Bristleback, while 33 tried out Largo. Tundra Esports are now going into their fifth match without a win; they lost the previous four.
The first group stage of DreamLeague Season 28 will take place online from February 16–20. The top four teams in each group advance to the second online stage, which runs February 20–28. After the two group stages, the top four teams will make the playoffs, which will be held from February 28 to March 1. The tournament prize pool is $1 million and EPT points, which are needed to secure direct invites to other ESL tournaments, including Esports World Cup 2026.
