Battle Pass sales bring in $293M for Valve
Valve, the Dota 2 developer, earned $293,024,922 from Battle Pass 2022 sales. STRATZ has tallied this and other interesting statistics from Battle Pass sales.
We should remind you that Battle Pass 2022 was divided into 2 parts. The first lasted from September 1 to October 30, 2022. During this period, Valve contributed 25% of the profits to The International 11 Prize Pool. The second part of the pass ran until January 12, and all profits went directly to the company.
China donated the most: the developer received $26,092,463 from the country. The highest level reached was 120,300. And a total of 6,704,558 users activated battle passes.
Interesting fact: if Valve were to give 25% of the profits to The International 11 Prize Pool throughout the entire Battle Pass, the amount would have been $70M. That could be a record for tournaments in the series.
