Best day for favorites, results of the second day of EWC 2026
The second day of Esports World Cup 2026 has ended. All favorites secured victories, only L1ga Team vs PlayTime and Nigma Galaxy vs Aurora ended in a draw.
Group A:
The most interesting match of Group A was the confrontation between Xtreme Gaming and GamerLegion, from which the Chinese emerged victorious. The first map saw complete domination by Xtreme Gaming, while on the second, GamerLegion picked teamfight heroes, forgetting about building damage. Leading in net worth and winning fights for 54 minutes, they could not finish the game. Xtreme Gaming survived until the late game, where they won just one fight, after which Ame on Lone Druid destroyed all buildings on GamerLegion's base, leaving only a bare Throne. At the 65th minute, Xtreme Gaming repelled the last attack on their base and broke the enemy Throne.
Group B:
In Group B, the second map of the Aurora vs Nigma Galaxy match stood out the most, lasting over 64 minutes. Nigma Galaxy dominated throughout the entire game, but Aurora were not going to give up, stretching opponents across the map and collecting items. In one of the fights, Nightfall on Windranger accidentally made several hits on his ally Phoenix under Supernova while trying to hit an enemy hero, causing Nigma Galaxy to easily win the fight. The best player of the map was lorenof, who dealt over 100k damage on Ember Spirit.
Group C:
The matches of Group C were not memorable to viewers, and dyrachyo, who was watching Vici Gaming's game, spoke negatively about the Chinese team's performance: "These guys are just idiots... Sorry, but there's no other way to say it."
Group D:
1win Team easily defeated Virtus.pro, Team Yandex proved stronger than Inner Circle, and LGD Gaming crushed OG.
