BetBoom Survive CIS Derby To Secure Top Six
The BetBoom Team was tasked to play against their younger brothers, Virtus.Pro, in an elimination match for top six. Though the BetBoom Team could win the series 2-0, it wasn’t an easy one.
In the first game, the BetBoom Team had a complete outdraft as they could shut down all three Virtus.Pro cores to convert an easy victory.
Virtus.Pro had a better draft and approach to Game 2, performing well in the early game. The Bears could “shut down” Pure’s Spirit Breaker by killing him six times in the early game, but once he got Midas and Octarine Core, those deaths did not matter.
Game 2 was prolonged to over 60 minutes, with the BetBoom Team claiming Mega Creeps. However, a game-ending push failed because Nightfall’s Wraith King got Walrus Kicked into the fountain, and Kiritych’s Muerta dealt tens of thousands of damage per team fight.
In the end, the throne means everything, and the BetBoom Team all in’d their resources on destroying the Ancient to win the series.
Virtus.Pro made a respectable run to finish in the top eight, and their run was ended by the BetBoom Team, who secured a top six finish.
