BTS Pro Series Season 7: Americas preview
Tomorrow, August 4, the BTS Pro Series Season 7: Americas starts. Teams from the South and North Americas will compete for the champion title and the $50,000 total prize pool in an online format.
Closed qualifiers
The tournament will start with a closed qualification stage where 8 participants, divided into 2 groups, will fight for 4 places to the group stage by the GSL system. All matches will be in a BO3 series. The qualifiers will be played from August 4-9.
Group stage and playoffs
In the group stage, the teams from the closed qualifiers will face 4 teams with direct invitations: beastcoast, SG e-sports, Undying и 4 Zoomers. They will meet in BO2 matches by the Round Robin system. It decides the playoff seeding: the 4 strongest teams will qualify for the upper bracket and 4 others for the Lower bracket. In the playoffs, teams will play in the usual Double Elimination bracket.
Right now, BTS Pro Series Season 7 matches are taking place in Southeast Asia, where the group stage has already begun.
