CIS and South American Qualifiers schedules revealed
Tomorrow, June 23, the qualifiers for The International in the CIS and South America starts. And now Valve has presented the schedules for both regions.
Each of them will have a tournament that features all participants of the second season of DPC Regional Leagues who didn't get direct invites to The International 10. They will play according to a Double-Elimination bracket, and seedings were based on the entire DPC season. The top 8 teams start to play from the Upper bracket, and the rest — from the Lower one. If there are fewer than 16 participants, the team from the Lower bracket with the higher seeding technically wins. Qualifiers' winner of each region makes it for The International 10.
The CIS Region
The CIS region features 14 teams out of 16. The region leader Virtus Pro secured a direct invite after the DPC season, and the Prosti Esli team disbanded before the start of the qualifiers. Due to their absence, Team Empire and Fantastic Five will start in the second round of the Lower bracket.

South America
The South American qualifiers will feature 12 of the 16 teams. beastcoast and Thunder Predator secured direct invites during the DPC season. Two other teams, Incubus Club and Gorillaz-Pride, couldn't make their rosters and are skipping qualifiers. Because of this, all of the teams from the Lower bracket get a technical win in the first round.
