The Semi-Finals of the Esports World Cup 2025 event were matches to remember. Team Spirit and Team Falcons set up a Grand Final matchup at the cost of PARIVISION and Tundra Esports

The day started with an Eastern European derby between Team Spirit and PARIVISION. In the first map, PARIVISION let Nature’s Prophet slip through the draft – a hero with a 22-4 record – which fell into the hands of Yatoro. However, Larl’s Leshrac was the MVP of the map, as he won his lane and started finding impact around the map. The first map was a quick victory for Team Spirit.

The second map was the one worth watching. PARIVISION tidied up their early game and built a sizable lead and tried taking Roshan. However, Collapse spoiled their plans by snatching the Aegis and turning the fight around. This slowed down PARIVISION’s progress and allowed Team Spirit to find a way back into the game. In the next Roshan fight, Collapse did it again, snatching the Aegis twice, which led to Team Spirit taking full control of the game and eventually winning it.

With this victory, Team Spirit are looking to be the first two-time winners at Riyadh, having won the event in 2023.

Team Falcons continue their dream run at the Esports World Cup with a win over Tundra Esports. In the first map, Tundra built a significant gold lead and were looking to press their advantage. However, Crystallis got stuck in the air due to a bugged Monkey King interaction with Mars’ Arena of Blood, where he could not move and press any items. This resulted in his death and the entire Tundra team getting wiped. The fight completely turned the game around in favor of the Falcons, and they were able to steal the map away.

The second map was absolute cinema. Bzm demolished Malr1ne in the mid-lane, forcing the latter to go 0/7 on Ember Spirit with barely any gold to work with. Tundra had a 12,000 net worth lead by the 21-minute mark, but Team Falcons found a decent fight near their Wisdom Shrine, where Malr1ne survived and gained lots of experience to bounce back.

Despite his rough start, the Russian mid-laner displayed an impeccable performance, where he recovered and found massive impact in fights. After outplaying Tundra Esports in subsequent fights, Tundra Esports took the gold lead for the first time in the game and were in the driver’s seat.

From having 2,000 gold in 10 minutes, Malr1ne reached the top of the net worth chart and became the star of the show, dealing 110,000 hero damage to help Team Falcons win the map after 80 minutes.

With these results, Tundra Esports and PARIVISION have been eliminated from the event, but will play a third-place decider match. Meanwhile, Team Spirit will go up against Team Falcons for all the marbles.
