DLTV Best Player Awards Of 2023, Position 2: Second Place
Nisha's placement on our Mid Laner list reflects Team Liquid's results in 2023, second place. We all know a player of his caliber could easily finish first on the list, but he fell just a little short of the best Mid Laner of the year.
Team Liquid and Nisha had some very respectable results in 2023:
- 2nd place at Lima Major 2023
- 2nd place at DreamLeague S19
- 2nd place at Berlin Major 2023
- 2nd place at Bali Major 2023
- 2nd place at Riyadh Masters 2023
- 9th place at DreamLeague S21
- 6th place at The International 12
- 3rd place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
The boys in blue had always looked much better than most teams but were always just shy of two teams: Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit.
We're sure that no one can doubt Nisha's prowess in the Mid Lane. He would always win his lane and connect with the team to create space around the map. His playstyle can be seen through his statistics throughout the year (compared to Mid Laners):
- Top 4 KDA: 5.58
- Top 6 Average Kills Per Game: 7.67
- Top 8 Kill Participation (all roles and players): 67.27%
- Top 5 Average Damage Per Game: 28,494
Nisha would always stand out in matches, but he especially did with these three heroes:
- Pangolier (33 Maps, 78% Win Rate)
- Storm Spirit (26 Maps, 69% Win Rate)
- Ember Spirit (29 Maps, 66% Win Rate)
Real recognize real. Quinn himself talked about Nisha:
"To be honest, Nisha is a player that I have the utmost respect for. If he plays poorly, I will chalk it up to a fluke. In my opinion, Nisha is the most talented player in history. He and Miracle-. Nisha is an incredible player, "His skill and understanding of the game is at an unreal level. You can feel it when you play against him. Talking bad about Nisha is crazy. It's like talking bad about Michael Jordan or LeBron James."
Though Nisha had been considered one of the most mechanically skilled players in the world, he, unfortunately, has not won that many titles. Hopefully, Team Liquid can bring him some much-deserved trophies in 2024.
