Dota 2 had a 10th place by popularity on Twitch for July 6-12
Analysts at Esports Observer, as usual, posted the Top-10 categories on Twitch over the past week. Popularity based on the watched hours in each of them.
Dota 2 continues to fall, and this time it had already the 10th place. Last week it had the 9th position.
As we expected last week, the popularity of Dota 2 continued its falling. We linked this to the lack of major tournaments, and the falling popularity among personal broadcasts is making the situation only worse. Dota 2 may leave the TOP-10 next week, as new tournaments haven't begun yet. But we expect strong growth of popularity to the end of July because there announced OGA Dota PIT Season 2: Europe CIS, where top European teams will take part.
Also, analysts have published a list of the most popular channels on Twitch over the last week.
This list doesn't have a single channel broadcasting Dota 2, which is also easily explained by the lack of major tournaments.
We will continue to keep an eye on the situation and hope that Dota 2 won't leave the TOP-10 categories next week.
