The second day of the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 Playoffs has come to an end. Today 4 teams have left the tournament, each of which is ranked 9-12. According to the tournament's rules, teams don't receive any prize money or DPC points for these places.

OB Esports x Neon 2:0 Fnatic

The game day was opened by a match between two South Asian teams. Before the start, Fnatic was considered the undisputed favorite because OB Esports x Neon played at the tournament with a substitution and didn't have the group stage well.

Surprisingly, only the first and second maps between the teams were spectacular. During the third, there was a feeling that Fnatic just stopped playing, losing it with a score of 5-24.

After two defeats, Fnatic left the tournament and went home with nothing.

Vici Gaming 2:0 Team Liquid

The second battle of the day was a match between the Chinese and European teams. Both teams are participating in the tournament from the Wild Card stage.

This is the third meeting of the teams at the Singapore Major. Before that, Vici Gaming won at the Wild Card stage, and Team Liquid won at the Group Stage. The third match's odds were roughly equal, but Vici Gaming confidently closed the streak with a score of 2-0. At some moments, it was clear that Team Liquid's team interactions were far behind the well-coordinated game of Vici Gaming.

The next match for Vici Gaming is scheduled for tomorrow. They will meet with OB Esports x Neon.

Thunder Predator 2:0 Team Aster

One of the most intriguing matches of the second day. It was extremely wondering whether the Peruvians, despite the initial expectations, can reach the top places, given that today they are opposed by Team Aster took second place in China.

From the first minutes, Thunder Predator began to play aggressively. However, in the first map, it almost turned against them. Teams have made comebacks over and over again, but the Peruvians were stronger. Playing the second map, the teams took almost identical picks, but Team Aster played much worse and lost in 32 minutes.

Virtus Pro 2:1 Quincy Crew

The final match was between the teams from the CIS and North America. Before the start, analysts predicted an easy Virtus Pro's victory, and some bookmakers gave odds at 1.2.

The match itself didn't go according to plan at first. Playing the first map, the Quincy Crew took the permanently banned IO, with which they won the first map. However, after it, Virtus Pro pulled themselves together, took more meaningful drafts, and brought the entire series to victory.

The North American team leaves the tournament, finishing in 9-12 place.

Tomorrow, ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 will also host 2 matches: two of them are the Upper bracket's semi-finals, and two more are the Lower bracket matches.
