Former professional Dota 2 player to play in the Valorant major
On August 22, the Philippine team Bren Esports qualified for VCE 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin on Valorant. Notably, the team includes ??Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco, who played Dota 2 professionally for over 7 years.
Jessie's Dota 2 career started back in 2011 with Mineski. Together, they took 9-12 place at the very first The International. In 2015, the team made it to 9-12 place at The Frankfurt Major 2015, and in 2016 — 7-8 place at ESL One Manila 2016. The last team in Dota 2 where ??JessieVash played was HappyFeet, but the organization disbanded in 2019.
Interestingly, besides Dota 2 and Valorant, JessieVash has tried to compete in other Esports disciplines. He played League of Legends in 2010 and tried to succeed at Overwatch in 2015-2016. Also, right after leaving Dota 2, the player was a Geek Fam's team coach on Mobile Legends.
The Valorant Major, VCE 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, will be in a LAN format from September 10 to 19. Teams will compete for qualifying points for the World Championship.
