Latam Defenders excludes Aretes for racist abuse
Peruvian organization Latam Defenders excludes ??Jeanpierre Rivera "Aretes" Perez from the main roster due to his racist behavior in match-making. In the next matches, ??Junior Reyes "Yadomi" Rimari will take his place in the team.
More recently, Aretes actively used various forms of racial abuse in public play.
This information was shared by the player of the American team Black N Yellow, ??Andrew "Jubei" Evelyn, who took part in that match. After his publication, Latam Defenders immediately made a statement:
In Latam Defenders, we reject any act of discrimination, racism, or unsporting behavior. Due to the latest events with Aretes, the player will be suspended immediately until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and will take all necessary steps to ensure this does not happen again.
Beyond the Summit also reacted to the player's behavior. They banned the Esportsman from participating in BTS Pro Series 5 and deprived him of all the tournament prize money.
