Malr1ne lost on Huskar for the first time in a year, results of the first day of DreamLeague S27
The first day of DreamLeague Season 27 has ended. Team Falcons gave away a map to Passion UA, MOUZ made a comeback from 15k against Pipsqueak+4, Aurora threw a map with a 30k advantage.
The group stage is held in a Swiss format with 24 teams. The top 8 will advance to the Playoffs.
Passion UA unexpectedly took a map from Team Falcons, breaking Malr1ne's win streak on Huskar of 8 consecutive wins. The last time Malr1ne lost on Huskar was during DreamLeague Season 25. Interestingly, all heroes of Passion UA are green, just like the logo of Team Falcons. The loss on the second map did not upset Team Falcons, the decisive map was won in 25 minutes.
MOUZ made a comeback from 15k on the second map against Pipsqueak+4. Pipsqueak+4, having Aegis and an advantage, decided to go up to the Highground, but MOUZ, having buybacks and a positional advantage, fought back, which started the comeback. The power peak of Pipsqueak+4 heroes passed. At 41 minutes, MOUZ caught Pipsqueak+4 cores on a mistake, and Copy and Palantimos didn't save money for buybacks. Crystallis on Abbadon, together with MidOne on Shadow Fiend and Seleri on Pugna easily broke the enemy Throne.
Aurora threw the first map against Natus Vincere, having a 32k advantage. Aurora led for most of the time and even knocked out Divine Rapier from gotthejuice, but one gross mistake turned the game upside down. When entering the Highground, Natus Vincere conducted an excellent fight, killing two heroes and forcing Aurora to retreat. Nightfall teleported to the base but, for some reason, went alone to push the wave. Natus Vincere did not forgive such a mistake, killed Nightfall with two Rapiers, and finished the game without problems. The second map was long but easy for Natus Vincere. Aurora couldn't finish quickly, and Natus Vincere's draft was much stronger in the late game.
Virtus.pro and Nigma Galaxy still can't find their game, both teams lost their matches with a crash, and the new roster of Team Nemesis couldn't show anything against Team Spirit.
DreamLeague Season 27 takes place from December 10-21 in an online format. In addition to the prize pool of 1 million dollars, EPT points are also up for grabs, which are needed to receive invitations to the next tournaments from ESL, including EWC 2026.
