No Chinese team made it to the Chinese LAN part of Blast SLAM V
The play-in stage of Blast Slam V has come to an end. As a result of the matches, MOUZ, Natus Vincere, OG, and Team Yandex advanced to the playoffs. Interestingly, none of the four Chinese teams managed to make it to the playoffs, which are held in China.
The community noticed that Blast changed the regulations during the tournament. Initially, Team Yandex was supposed to play against Yakult Brothers, and Xtreme Gaming against MOUZ, but in the end, the organizers changed everything to give the Chinese teams a better chance to advance to the playoffs. However, even this did not help. Xtreme Gaming defeated Tearlaments, but could not overcome Team Yandex. Yakult Brothers could not handle MOUZ, and Team Tidebound failed miserably in the match against Natus Vincere.
Xtreme Gaming still cannot find their game. After losing in the final of The International 2025 and two replacements, they have not made it to the playoffs of any tournaments. The team did not participate in FISSURE Playground 2 and Blast Slam IV, and took 9-11th place at PGL Wallachia Season 6.
Heroic could not advance to the playoffs, losing to OG with a score of 2-0. Recall, Heroic started the group stage with a score of 0-5. OG, in turn, continues to show excellent play on the Tier-1 scene.
The playoffs of Blast Slam V will take place from December 5-7 in Chengdu, China. The tournament prize pool is 1 million dollars.
