Overview of DPC Eastern Europe Division One Matches for May 30

News
Published at: 2023-05-30 17:09:00

There are only two Best of 3 matches for the EEU DPC on May 30, but one of the matches is highly anticipated. Virtus.Pro will take on UALIKUM, and Team Spirit will battle it out against BetBoom.

Virtus.Pro 2-0 UALEIKUMNIHAO

The first match between VP and UALIKUM is the appetizer for the day. VP has to win to have a chance at cracking the Major, while UALIKUM must win, or they’ll be relegated to Division II.

Game 1

The lanes didn’t go well for UALIKUM in the first game, as they found themselves down 3,000 gold in 10 minutes. Kiritych on Alchemist had completely free farm, and the net worth gap grew bigger and bigger. UALIKUM had to tap out 31 minutes in after losing a team fight inside their base.

Game 2 - Game To Watch

In Game 2, UALIKUM put up a much better fight, being ahead 7,000 gold and an Aegis 34 minutes in. UALIKUM took a team fight at the Radiant Triangle with their advantage, using two Dooms onto Kiritych’s Medusa. Despite Doom using a Refresher Shard, the fight turned out disastrous for UALIKUM, and VP went to threaten UALIKUM’s high ground.

Palantimos on Windranger was heavily outscaled by the Medusa and could not deal enough damage to bring her down. Medusa was untouched, and UALIKUM kissed their Division I dreams goodbye.

BetBoom Team 1-2 Spirit

The last match of the day will be the two undefeated teams, BetBoom and Team Spirit, both sitting 5-0. The winner of this matchup is almost guaranteed to qualify for the Bali Major.

Game 1 - Game To Watch

Both Carry players struggled in their lanes in the first game, but the game was kept relatively even. The game continued to stay stale until the 30-minute mark, where Team Spirit won a team fight at the bottom Roshan area and got a pickoff onto Nightfall’s Chaos Knight shortly after.

This sequence of events allowed Yatoro’s Troll Warlord to claim the Aegis, and Spirit were able to snowball their lead into a 38-minute GG. Yatoro ended the game 10/2/7, dealing the highest hero damage in the entire game.

Game 2

Though Team Spirit had a good showing in Game 1, saying that Game 2 was a total stomp is still an understatement. BetBoom had an 8,000 net worth lead 10 minutes into the game. All three lanes for Spirit got destroyed, and BetBoom had complete control over the game. Team Spirit didn’t get their first hero kill until the 26-minute mark! The game ended with a score of 23-2 in BetBoom’s favor.

Game 3

Game 3 of the series featured a close laning stage, as Spirit picked strong laning heroes to not have a repeat of Game 2. Spirit were able to out-farm BetBoom using their Magnus lineup, and the gold lead slowly leaned toward Spirit the longer the game went. The game-winning team fight occurred at the bottom Roshan area, where Team Spirit could team wipe BetBoom and force the GGs out.
