Quest and Gaimin Gladiators Play The 3rd Longest Game In Dota History

In Group B of the Bali Major 2023, Quest Esports and Gaimin Gladiators faced off against each other in their group stage match, where they played a 136-minute game.

The first game of the series looked like it would be won by the Gladiators, as the number one team in the world had a 15,000 net worth lead at the 30-minute mark. However, Quest were able to punch back by winning a huge team fight in the 42nd minute to bring the game in their favor.

What happened after this turned out to be absolute chaos, as both teams were constantly trading team fights, and nobody knew what was happening.

Dozens of Rapiers were purchased, and Quinn on Timbersaw had 20,000 leftover gold at some point in the game. Seleri’s Chen became a pure right clicker, buying items such as Assault Cuirass, Butterfly, and even a Divine Rapier.

Gaimin Gladiators could take Mega Creeps first, but it didn’t matter as Mega Creeps felt like nothing when everyone in the game was eight-slotted. It only took Quest a 99,000 net worth lead to finally come close to ending the game, which they eventually did.

Credit has to be given to No!ob’s Snapfire, who transitioned very well into the late game with his Lil’ Shredder Multishot talent. Combined with multiple Divine Rapiers, he was able to deal a total of 145,000 hero damage at the end of the game! At one point, he had four Rapiers in his inventory.

This Dota 2 match is the third-longest game in history, and the longest match played on a LAN event.
