Riyadh's Defending Champions Sent Home By PSG Quest
What is happening today?! Yet another upset has happened, with Team Spirit getting eliminated by PSG Quest after a 1-2 loss in the Lower Bracket.
The series started as everyone expected, with Team Spirit absolutely mauling PSG Quest with a kill score of 18-2 in a 20-minute game.
In the second map, TA2000 got his hands on his signature Naga Siren. The game was very even at the start, but a huge Song of the Siren setup helped PSG Quest take a massive team fight to lead the game. Team Spirit spent almost an hour cutting waves and shoving lanes, but PSG Quest built a significant gold lead and eventually won the game.
The TI winners did not learn their lesson and let Naga Siren slip through again. However, the biggest threat from the MENA side was No!ob’s Sand King, who went 10/0/20 to demolish Team Spirit in 38 minutes.
The defending champions had their Riyadh run cut short after losing to the hometown heroes. Yatoro and the crew will leave the tournament in 7th-8th place, taking home $200,000.
