The second season of OMEGA League starts in October

Tournament operator Epic Esports Events has announced the dates for the second season of the Dota 2 online championship OMEGA League. The tournament is scheduled to run from October 28 to December 13.



Tournament format


Compared to the first season, the format of the tournament will have some changes. As before, the European region will split into 2 divisions: Immortal and Divine. But the list of participants will be reduced from 12 to 10. The tournament will have a group stage and a playoff stage as usual.


Immortal Division Group Stage:

  • 1-4 places advance to OMEGA League: Immortal Division playoffs
  • 5-8 places go to the Play-in stage
  • 9-10 places fall in OMEGA League: Divine Division playoffs


Divine Division Group Stage:

  • 1-4 places go to the Play-in stage
  • Unknown count of teams advances to OMEGA League: Divine Division playoffs


At the Play-in stage, teams will have to play the remaining tickets to the playoffs of OMEGA League: Immortal Division. More details about the tournament system will be known later.


The organizer announced some teams that will take part:

??Team Secret


3 more teams will receive a direct invite soon. The remaining 2 teams will be identified during the qualifiers. One ticket goes to the first-place team, and another one will be played between the vice-champion of qualifications and the winner of the Divine Division of the first season - ??FlyToMoon.


The prize fund of the tournament has not changed. The total prize pool for the Immortal Division is $500,000, and the Divine Division is $50,000
