Spirit with a substitute one step away from the grand final, VP again in last place
The third game day of FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 became the last day of the group stage for Team Spirit. Their win streak in the tournament has lasted for eight maps in a row, despite playing with a substitute. Team Liquid also secured their passage to the playoffs of FISSURE Universe: Episode 6, while Virtus.pro were the first to be eliminated from the tournament.
The key confrontation today was the CIS derby between Team Spirit and BetBoom Team. In the best traditions of their team, Team Spirit conducted this meeting flawlessly: Collapse delivered perfect Reverse Polarity, and Yatoro killed all the heroes:
Mirele` on the signature Void Spirit was not left behind. The young player won fights solo several times, and his highlights were admired not only by fans but also by pro players. For example, Solo commented on the stand-in for Team Spirit as follows:
"A new young midlaner. Plays very well, doesn't fall out at all. Sometimes even shines. Compare Quinn and Mirele` on Void Spirit — well, of course, Mirele` plays better. But here the team, you understand… ".
The meeting ended with a score of 2-0. So far, Team Spirit are the main favorite in the tournament.
A bright event of the day was the game of Team Falcons with Gaimin Gladiators. On the first map, Malr1ne performed with a score of 20/1/16, and the second one ended in just 13 minutes — Gaimin Gladiators called GG. After the match, Malr1ne shared his father's reaction to the victory:
"Well done, the first map is super, you almost overdid it, I mean you won't see Shaker for half a year, it will be constantly banned".
At the same time, things are not going well for Gaimin Gladiators. After a disappointing and quick defeat, Malady suddenly fell ill, which prevented him from participating in the next match against AVULUS. Against the backdrop of rumors about the dismissal of Cy- and the possible imminent departure to inactivity of Ace, as well as disagreements in the team, it is quite likely that he just "burned out".
Nevertheless, they still managed to defeat the outsiders AVULUS, and the game day ended with the fifth match in a row with a score of 2-0.
