The Summit 13 Open Qualifiers Begins
Tournament operator Beyond the Summit announced a major tournament for 3 regions: American, Asian, and European, and Valve sponsors the tournament. The total prize pool of The Summit 13 will be $250,000, but the format of the event and the teams participating in each region are unknown yet.
Open qualifiers will start tomorrow in two regions, American and Asian. They are planned for October 17-18, and from each qualification, 2 teams will get to the main stage of the tournament.
In the European region, qualifications will be later, from October 31 to November 1, but as in the previous regions the 2 strongest teams will advance to the main stage.
The format of the tournament for each region, the full list of participants, as well as the distribution of the prize pool for each region will be announced later.
