Tier-1 scene reshuffles completed: Spirit, Liquid and Tundra announcements

The transfer window can be considered officially closed after today's announcements, the leading teams in the world have presented updated rosters for the upcoming season. Despite the fact that Team Spirit, Team Liquid and Tundra Esports managed to complete their rosters, there are organizations that could not boast the same successes and withdrew from the upcoming tournaments, but more on that later.

Organizers of Blast accidentally leaked the Team Spirit roster half an hour before the official announcement. Everyone was wondering who could replace Miposhka, who took a career break, and whether Larl would go on vacation after an emergency return to the pro-scene during The International 2025 after a recent surgery. The answers to these questions did not keep us waiting: Pantomem from Aurora will now play in the fifth position in Team Spirit.

Fans found a hint of this transition even earlier: under the Team Spirit video on social networks, there were emojis of three heroes — Oracle, Shadow Demon, and Jakiro. These characters are listed on Liquipedia as signature for Pantomem. Insiders only confirmed these guesses.

Pantomem already has a solid track record, including 4th place at DreamLeague Season 25 and 5-8th place at Esports World Cup 2025. In total, he played 204 matches for Aurora with a win rate of 56%. Currently, the player has a rank of 98 in the European ladder.

The next challenge for the updated team will be Blast Slam IV. It will take place from October 14 to November 9 in Singapore, with a prize pool of 1 million dollars.

Meanwhile, Team Liquid also completed their roster formation and introduced two new players. They are former members of Gaimin Gladiators — Ace and tOfu. They replaced the departed SabeRLighT (now a player for AVULUS) and the retired player iNSaNiA. Another change was the position switch of tOfu, who moved to the fifth position.

Ace and tOfu had very good synergy even in Gaimin Gladiators. Together with their previous team, they won Riyadh Masters 2024 and became silver medalists twice (at The International 2024 and The International 12). Gaimin Gladiators always competed with Team Liquid, but recently the former managed to announce a disband on the eve of the main tournament of the year and file a lawsuit against former players, while the latter just showed a disappointing result at the last TI, taking only 9-12th place. In this light, the community can only hope that such a union of former competitors will benefit everyone.

Ex-players of Gaimin Gladiators commented on the transition under the wing of Team Liquid:

“After a short break, my motivation is at its highest level, and I really want to return to win and prove myself. I couldn't wish for a better team than these guys”, added tOfu.

Blitz noted in his social networks that the reshuffle was very tense, but in the end, everything turned out in the best way. He also hinted that iNSaNiA might return to the team as a replacement for the second coach kpii, who left the organization yesterday. The next goal for Team Liquid will be FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, the playoffs of which have already started.

Another announcement of the day was the announcement by the Tundra Esports organization about the return of Pure to their roster. The Russian carry, who already played for Tundra Esports from January to September 2024, left BetBoom Team and rejoined the Western European team.

The last cooperation was successful: with Pure Tundra Esports took 3rd place at The International 2024 and 4th at Riyadh Masters 2024. Now the team hopes to repeat and surpass these results.

While all the teams were strengthening their rosters, Talon Esports faced difficulties. The organization officially withdrew from BLAST Slam IV and closed qualifiers for Blast Slam V, failing to complete the roster for the upcoming season.

The crisis was predictable: 23savage announced that he was looking for a team, Ws moved to the revived Vici Gaming, and Mikoto and Oli~ became part of the international roster of Aurora. Moreover, the organization was mired in debt. From the once formidable Asian team, only Q remains, and his future is currently in question.

The reshuffle period is coming to an end. Now it remains to follow the matches at BLAST Slam IV and FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where the updated teams will test their strength in practice for the first time.
