Valve's pirate broadcasts rules came into force

Valve's pirate broadcasts rules came into force

In early September, Valve released a letter about its plans for the upcoming DPC season. In it, the organization has clearly stated its position regarding personal broadcasts of major tournaments. More on this - Valve revealed its plans for the future.

The updated rules came into force today, and tournament operator BTS has already provided a list of actions that independent streamers must comply with.

BTS is currently hosting BTS Pro Series Season 3 in three regions: American, European, and Asian. Independent streamers need to set an additional delay of 5 minutes from the official broadcast for holding their personal broadcasts.

BTS noted that they would prepare a list of rules for independent streamers for future tournaments, which will include a few more points besides the delay. This time, the tournament operator decided to set only one requirement, because the updated license from Valve will start only on September 15th.
