Who can buy VP.Prodigy?

Dota 2
Published at: 2020-07-10 20:30:13

For a long time, rumors have circulated about the fate of the second Dota 2 roster of Virtus Pro. According to the organization, they are looking for a buyer for VP.Prodigy. Based on this, we decided to remember the old organizations from the CIS, which now don't have a Dota 2 roster, but, in theory, could return to discipline.

Vega Squadron

One of the most famous Esports organizations in the CIS. It was created in 2012 and aimed exclusively at StarCraft 2. But as time went on, the organization developed and already in 2014 signed the first Dota 2 roster. For five years, the team's roster has changed several times but showed good results in tournaments. During this time, they managed to sign: Solo, Noone, Mag, iceberg, SoNNeikO, and many other players. The total amount of prize money earned over five years was $530,000.

Since the middle of last year, the organization disbanded the Dota 2 team, but given their experience and organizational structure, this is a good candidate for the purchase of VP.Prodigy.

Moscow Five

One of the oldest Esports organizations in the CIS. Their path began in 2001. Then the organization had teams on CS 1.6, Warcraft 3, Dota. In 2011, the first Dota 2 team was assembled, which included: NS, Dread, God, LightofHeaven, and Smile. They didn't achieve high results and lasted until 2012. In 2014, there was a second attempt to assemble the roster, which was also unsuccessful. After that, they began to have severe problems with the law, and for a long time, they left Esports.

But recently, the M5 tag has returned to Esports. Now they have active rosters in LoL and CS:GO. Maybe it's time for them to remember about Dota 2?

Rox

Another Esports organization from the 2000s. It was founded in 2004 to support PRO-players of StarCraft. During their existence, they managed to try themselves in all Esports disciplines. In 2013, there assembled a Dota 2 roster, which lasted until 2015. The main thing that people remembered about the team was the Solo scandal with 322 and an endless change of players.

After leaving Dota 2, the organization took a break and turned its attention to LoL and RS6. But maybe it's time to think about returning to Dota?

Conclusion

Of course, in the entire history of Esports in the CIS, more organizations left Dota and could return to it. Also, there is always the possibility of the appearance of new organizations or ones from other regions. Perhaps, soon, we will find out more information about the future home for VP.Prodigy.
