Why does Gambit have a second DPC slot?

Gambit Esports general manager Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov explained the team's two slots in the DPC: CIS Regional League.
The team has a slot in the Upper Division left over after the previous DPC season, where AS Monaco Gambit finished 3rd. The second slot was retained by the organization after the disband of Prosti Esli. It originally belonged to the Gambit-2 team, which disbanded after the first season of DPC: CIS.
Today Gambit Esports presented 2 new rosters for the DPC: CIS Regional League Winter Season.
Upper Division roster:
