Xtreme sensationally dropped out at the group stage of BLAST Slam VII
The group stage of Blast Slam 7 has ended. LGD Gaming and PARIVISION advanced to the semifinals, while BetBoom Team and Team Falcons moved on to the quarterfinals. Xtreme Gaming and GLYPH left the tournament.
The last two playoff slots will be contested between six teams in the play-in.
The most interesting match of the game day:
LGD Gaming defeated Team Yandex on a 111-minute map for a spot in the semifinals. LGD Gaming picked an unconventional support Axe and did not miscalculate. Both teams played around the power spike of their drafts, but neither could finish the game. By the 80th minute, watson even had a reserve of Divine Rapiers stored at the base. Both teams played cautiously, and fights occurred only on the bases. LGD Gaming made better use of their buybacks and, after winning the decisive fight, destroyed the enemy's Ancient. The best player of the match was TaiLung, who played Nature's Prophet with a 22/8/27 KDA and repeatedly saved his team from defeat.
Blast Slam 7 takes place from May 26 to June 7. The playoff stage will run June 4–7 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament prize pool is 1 million dollars.
