The second day of the playoff stage of FISSURE Playground 2 has come to an end. Today, the upper bracket semifinal took place, where two underdogs, who gained incredible form during the tournament — MOUZ and Team Yandex, as well as two stable and strong teams from the CIS region — Team Spirit and BetBoom Team, met. • Team Yandex achieved a crucial victory over MOUZ. The roster, which many predicted would be eliminated in the first round, confidently sent the opponent to the lower bracket. Noticed performed excellently in this series, making a significant impact on all stages of the game on the third, decisive map, playing Pangolier, finishing the game with a score of 10/5/20. On the decisive map, the teams chose diametrically different approaches: Yatoro on Dragon Knight chose a greedy build with Sange and Yasha and did not join fights in the midgame, while Mars from Collapse gained peak strength, buying Blink Dagger and Pipe of Insight. Collapse received a lot of criticism for his choice of aspect in this game. Nix criticized him for taking Victory Feast instead of Blood Sport, while the enemy team had Shadow Demon and Tusk. In this match, the first Roshan was given away without a fight, and after Team Spirit made several fatal mistakes: after winning an important team fight once, they made two idle attacks, rushing into the enemy duo without vision. BetBoom Team played almost perfectly: they did not allow the Dragons to unleash their potential in the late game, skillfully maintained tempo, took two Roshans in a row, and confidently closed Team Spirit. • The day's results indicate significant changes in the power balance at the tournament. Team Yandex and BetBoom Team proved that they have done a tremendous amount of work. The first LAN of the new season — and already a guaranteed top-3 for both teams, which recently made major changes. Meanwhile, the favorites are not having the best times. Now, after a short one-day break, Team Yandex will await the upper bracket final against BetBoom Team, while Team Spirit and MOUZ will fight for the right to a rematch.
