Team assembled a week before qualifiers made it to BLAST Slam 9 — closed qualifier results
The closed qualifiers for BLAST Slam 9 from Europe and Southeast Asia have ended. Natus Vincere, Dawn Bulls and Team Nemesis claimed slots at the tournament. We will find out one more participant in a week, after the Chinese qualifiers end.
The organizers allocated only four slots for three regions: two for Europe, one for Southeast Asia, and one for China. Therefore, some teams from other regions, such as GamerLegion and PlayTime, had to play in the European qualifiers.
The first slot at the tournament was secured by Natus Vincere, who received an invitation to the closed qualifiers and easily defeated Zero Tenacity and Pipsqueak+4.. The second slot was claimed by a team that came together literally a few days before the start of the qualifiers — Dawn Bulls. The team began its journey in the open qualifiers. In the first match of the closed stage, they faced the former team of one of the players: yamich met MOUZ and destroyed them 2-0, knocking them out of the qualifiers. After that, they ran into another equally strong team — Klim Sani4. They had also assembled very recently, but had already managed to firmly establish themselves at the Tier 2 level. But even they were no problem for Dawn Bulls: without losing a single map, the team advances to BLAST Slam 9.
The Southeast Asia qualifiers were extremely easy for Team Nemesis. At the same time, the recently assembled team Xipto Esports with star players such as 23savage, Oli~ and Q failed already in the first match of the qualifiers.
The closed qualifiers for BLAST Slam 9 took place on September 12-13 in an online format. Based on the results of the qualifiers, Natus Vincere, Dawn Bulls and Team Nemesis received slots at the tournament.
