DLTV Best Player Awards Of 2023, Position 4: Fifth Place

Exclusive

Two-time TI Winner Mira's gameplay isn't too flashy, but he's super reliable and always at the right place at the right time. Though Team Spirit had an extremely rocky start to 2023, Mira and the crew cleaned up their gameplay and ended the year very strong.

Team Spirit did not have the cleanest portfolio of 2023 apart from their three tournament wins. Here is what Mira helped the team achieve last year:

In 2023, the Dragons played 228 maps, maintaining a 64.5% win rate. Throughout the year, Mira played 32 different heroes, and his most-played heroes were:

  • Rubick (46 Maps, 63% Win Rate)
  • Skywrath Mage (18 Maps, 83% Win Rate)
  • Mirana (16 Maps, 75% Win Rate)

The 24-year-old is often mistaken to be the weak link of Team Spirit, but his playstyle fits the definition of a "team player". He's doing all the dirty work, including stacking camps, creating space, securing runes, and tanking ganks. The impact of such plays is often not recognized by the normal eye, but we take those into account and give Mira a well-deserved spot in our top list.

As mentioned earlier, Team Spirit showed poor results in the first half of the year, failing to make any deep runs. On top of disappointing finishes in all three Valve Majors, Team Spirit skipped ESL One Kuala Lumpur, dropping Mira in our rankings.

Tomorrow, we will name the fourth-best position four players of 2023; stay tuned!
