English caster Shannon "SUNSfan" Scottan has hinted on a YouTube podcast that Dota 2 fans should wait for a big change after The International 11. Valve is preparing news that will raise a real riot.

    Shannon "SUNSfan" Scottan:

Some stuff we can't talk about currently. That feels like there's a lack of care for Dota lately. It feels like there has been a shift. I know there's a... be careful again... There will be news coming out after TI from a third party not directly related to Valve at all. But once it's announced it's going to make some waves. The pitchforks will be out most likely. It's just like Domino, after Domino, after Domino. It could be avoided if Valve would just talk to us (community).

On the podcast, SUNSfan didn't reveal specific information regarding what the announcement is supposed to be about. However, previously there were several rumors that may apply to Valve. First is the company plans to give up production of True Sight documentaries on The International. The second is Saudi Arabia is investing $38 billion in the gaming industry and Esports in particular.

The International 11 takes place October 15-30. It features 20 strongest teams from around the world. All of them fight for the impressive prize pool, which currently stands at $13,241,603. It continues to grow by selling the Battle Pass in Dota 2 until the end of the championship.
