DreamHack and ESL unveil qualification dates for DPC regional leagues in Europe and North America
Tournament organizers DreamHack and ESL have announced that they will host regional leagues in the upcoming season. ESL is in North America this time, while DreamHack continues to work with Europe.
Based on the announcements, the format of regional leagues has not changed: there will be the teams who kept the slots after the previous season. The only exceptions will be 2 teams that left the lower division — the qualifiers' winners will take their slots.
European and North American qualifiers have 2 stages: open and closed. The open qualifiers will be held on November 19-20, and 3 teams from each go into the close stage to face 2 invited teams. Closed qualifiers are scheduled for November 22-24. Participants will fight in a Double Elimination bracket, from which the top 2 teams advance to the lower divisions of the leagues.
