DreamLeague S21 Day 2: Evil Geniuses Eliminated
The second day of DreamLeague Season 21 ends, and we already have our first team exiting the tournament. Here’s a recap of everything that happened today!
Group A
Shopify Rebellion lead the group, while Liquid and Talon continue to struggle.
Shopify Rebellion defeated 9 Pandas to take the lead in the group. The North American roster sits at a comfortable 6-2, projecting a spot in the playoffs.
9 Pandas and Tundra Esports are sitting closely behind, with 5 points each. They must perform well on Day 3 if they want a shot at the playoffs.
Despite playing with a stand-in, Entity Gaming isn’t too far behind at 4 points. They are almost safe from elimination and have a slight chance of finishing in the top two of the group.
Talon and Team Liquid finally pick up some game wins from two ties, but no series wins at all. The two teams are at risk of elimination and must win their final series 2-0 for a chance to stay alive.
Group B
In Group B, the results seem to be more obvious.
At the top of the group are the two Eastern European teams, Team Spirit and BetBoom Team.
Following the top dogs are three Western European teams, but not in the order everyone expected. OG sits above the Gladiators and Quest Esports at a comfortable 5 points.
Unfortunately, Evil Geniuses have already been eliminated from the tournament with their horrendous score of 1-7.
