Five teams left in ESL One Fall: second day playoff results

News

The second day of the ESL One Fall playoffs is over. After three matches, we've known a pair of upper bracket finalists and the 2 teams that left the tournament.

Tundra Esports 2-0 beastcoast

In the first match, beastcoast, participating in The International 10, faced Tundra Esports, who didn't get an invitation. This was the first match of the teams, and everyone was intrigued to see who would win.

Although both teams advanced to the tournament's group stage confidently and beastcoast even won first place, our site's bookmakers and forecasters gave their preference to the team from Europe.

Once again, the majority opinion was correct, and the match ended with a 2-0 score. At the end of the two maps, it isn't easy to point out the interesting moments. Tundra Esports started every map with an advantage and quickly brought everything to its logical conclusion. Their next opponent is Virtus Pro.

T1 2-1 Alliance

After the end of the upper bracket match, the duels in the lower bracket began. The first to play were T1 and Alliance. As in the first match, these teams met for the first time in their history.

Before the start of the match, opinions differed significantly on its winner. Minimal advantage of votes went to T1. But not everyone could guess the exact score.

This meeting deserves a lot of attention from the fans. It was a complete BO3 series with a lot of fantastic moves. The third map was especially spectacular. In the 42nd minute, Alliance had the advantage of over 15,000 and were ready to finish the game, but one gang from T1 changed the match completely. Now, T1 will face beastcoast.

PSG.LGD 2-1 Team Spirit

Judging by the number of viewers on the broadcasts, the most awaited match of the playoffs' second day is the confrontation between Team Spirit and PSG.LGD. In June, the teams already met each other at WePlay AniMajor, and that meeting ended with a 1-1 score. It was a good chance for them to determine the winner.

For the first time in the 2 days of the ESL One Fall playoffs, there was a noticeable difference in the votes of the bookmakers and the forecasters of our website. In comparison, the bookmakers were giving odds of 1.3-1.4 for PSG.LGD to win, while our analysts voted almost equally for each outcome.

The encounter turned out to be incredibly spectacular, especially the 2nd and 3rd maps. However, the Chinese team turned out to be stronger. Their next opponent will be determined in the beastcoast and T1 match.

  • 15:00 T1 vs. beastcoast | Lower bracket
