The first day of the group stage Blast Slam VI has come to an end. OG won all their matches, Team Falcons and Team Spirit lost two matches each.

All matches are played in a bo1 format; let's go over the most interesting moments:
- GamerLegion sensationally defeated Team Falcons in the first match of the tournament. GamerLegion won the draft and were in control throughout the entire game, but Team Falcons, with the help of buybacks, tried to stay afloat. At minute 42, Team Falcons took Roshan, but lost the fight one-sidedly. Team Falcons were left without buybacks and called GG.
- Heroic surprised the DreamLeague Season 28 champions - Team Yandex - with Yuma's signature Meepo; the match ended in 33 minutes in favor of Heroic.
- OG showed a good performance, finishing the day with a 4-0 record. They defeated Team Liquid, the champions of the latest tier-1 tournaments MOUZ and Team Yandex, as well as GamerLegion. All the matches followed the same script: OG ran over their opponents one after another.
- Tundra Esports almost threw away a 25k gold lead in their match against Rekonix, but Pure on Slark took the game into his own hands, got a Rampage and closed out the game with ease.
- Pure also played a fantastic match on Shadow Fiend against Team Liquid. Initially, Pure was going for a magic build, buying Yasha&Kaya and Blink Dagger, but in the late game he "swapped items", picking up the classic Silver Edge, Daedalus, Satanic. His final GPM was 900, and his total net worth was 54 thousand.
- Team Spirit collapsed in their match against MOUZ. Seleri's squad won the lanes and took full control of the map. At the 15-minute mark, with the score 19-1, Team Spirit typed GG.
- Xtreme Gaming came back from 25 thousand gold behind against Heroic. For 56 minutes the Peruvians heavily dominated, and Wisper, feeling complete superiority, bought a Rapier. The offlaner of Xtreme Gaming - Xxs - purchased a Crimson Guard at the moment when Heroic were hitting the Ancient, which allowed Xtreme Gaming to win the fight. Ame picked up the Rapier and destroyed the enemy Ancient.
The group stage of Blast Slam VI is being played online from February 3 to 7. The six best teams will advance to the playoffs, which will take place on February 13–15 in Malta. The tournament's prize pool is 1 million dollars.
