Stars Are Not Aligning: Nigma Throw 25K Lead To Get Eliminated From Wallachia
The fourth day of the PGL Wallachia Season 5 group stage has ended, and we had to bid farewell to several teams – namely Nigma Galaxy.
To start the day, Wildcard Gaming took on OG in the 1-2 pool in an elimination match. Despite looking relatively sharp yesterday, OG could not carry any momentum to this series, as the sole North American representatives cleaned up the series with a 2-0 win to eliminate N0tail’s crew from the event.
Nightfall got his revenge against his former teammates at Tundra Esports after a relatively clean 2-0 series to qualify for the playoffs. In both games, kiyоtaka was the standout player on his Puck, dealing the highest hero damage in back-to-back maps.
Nigma Galaxy took on Xtreme Gaming in an elimination match, and things were looking stellar for the MENA squad on the first map. Nigma found themselves up 25,000 gold against a carry Alchemist, but some costly mistakes led to them throwing what seemed to be an unlosable game.
The fumble on the first map was quickly punished, as Xtreme Gaming pulled off the comeback and easily won the following map to eliminate Nigma Galaxy from the event.
The final series of the day between the BetBoom Team and Natus Vincere was packed with highlights and comebacks. The first game featured some missed Black Holes from MieRo` that led to Natus Vincere winning the map in 60+ minutes.
The second map featured a cinematic comeback from the BetBoom Team after Pure’s Lina survived on a sliver of HP and turned the fight around to force a decider. However, the BetBoom Team’s efforts on the second map were in vain, as Natus Vincere won the third map with relative ease and booked their spot in the top eight.
Only one day remains in the PGL Wallachia Season 5 group stage, and by the end of it, only eight teams remain.
PGL Wallachia Season 5 is an offline event taking place from June 21 to 29. 16 teams compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
