Valve has officially announced the venue and date of The International 10 and shared plans for developing the game in the near future.
Information about The International
The International 10 will take place on August 5-15 in Stockholm, Sweden. The prize fund of the tournament is $ 40,018,195. The group stage starts on August 5-8, and the main stage kicks off on August 10 and continues through August 15.
Due to the current situation with the spread of the pandemic, Valve cannot answer whether the main tournament will be held with spectators. The answer to this question should be soon.
New Battle Pass
Valve won't release a new Battle Pass this summer. Instead, two in-game events will be launched, but none of them will increase the prize pool for The International. At the moment, there is no information about the events.
Thus, the final prize pool of the tournament will be $40,018,195, collected by the community last year.
Details of the distribution of slots in the tournament and the list of qualifications
Valve hasn't yet revealed how many teams directly qualify for The International 10 after the Dota Pro Circuit Regional Leagues or the date of the qualifiers for the main tournament of the year.
Added fan bundles
There were introduced Supporters Clubs with bundles from 17 teams, which will bring the teams 50% of all sales. The bundles are divided into 3 types and include various bonuses. The Bronze Club includes a badge for a team, the Silver Club includes sprays and emoticons, and the Gold Club includes a special in-game HP-bar badge, loading screens, and voice lines.
According to Valve, the rest of the teams will be added to the game as soon as possible.
