Valve released an update ahead of The International 2025 without a compendium
On the night of August 19 to 20, an update was released in Dota 2, timed to coincide with the The International 2025. This time Valve did not add a Compendium, limiting themselves to team and commentator bundles.
The initial prize pool of the tournament is still 1.6 million dollars, but 30% of the sold team and commentator bundles will be added to it. 50% of the sales of purchased bundles will go to the respective teams and commentators, the remaining 20% will go to Valve.
Also, "Predictions" and "Fantasy" were added to the game, based on the results of which the top 15% of participants will receive prizes:
- Top 15% — Dota+ for a month.
- Top 10% — Dota+ for a month, Arcana of choice.
- Top 5% — Dota+ for 2 months, Arcana of choice, 50% discount on Mini-Aegis purchase, 1 new Immortal of choice.
- Top 1500 — Dota+ for 6 months, Arcana of choice, free Mini-Aegis, 2 new Immortals of choice.
- Top 100 — Dota+ for 12 months, Arcana of choice, free Mini-Aegis, all new Immortals.
- The cost of the mini-Aegis without discounts is 150 dollars.
- All new Immortals are old ones recolored in the colors of The International 2025.
When entering the game, you can claim 20 loading screens and an Aegis emoji for free in the upper right corner.
The International 2025 will take place from September 4 to 15 in Hamburg, Germany.
