OG.Chu Is Moved To The Sidelines

Dota 2

Evgenii "Chu" Makarov has been OG's Position 5 player after he swapped his coach role with Mikhail "Misha" Agatov. Many OG fans were expecting better results after the change, but the trophies didn't follow.

With Chu's stint in the OG roster, they were able to make one Major appearance, finishing 5-6th place in the Berlin Major. However, Chu wasn't even on the roster as OG had Kartik "Kitrak" Rathi standing in as their Position 5 throughout the event.

In the Summer DPC Tour, OG were at risk of relegation but fortunately won a crucial series against Entity to barely maintain their Upper Division slot.

It was clear that OG wouldn't be a title contender if they kept their roster as is. On the 10th of July, the organization announced that Chu would be moved back to assistant coach. A replacement for the 25-year-old is yet to be announced, and OG will have a day to do so as Dreamleague Season 20 is just around the corner.
